General Modifications

  • The customer's saved shopping cart will now remove items if the item options that the customer selected have been hidden or deleted by the site administrator.  This only occurs for shopping carts being retrieved outside of the user's session.  (If the user closes and reopens their browser.)
  • Added a new custom method for computing whether a shipping address is valid.  If the customer's shipping address is computed as invalid during checkout, they will not be allowed to buy.  This is an optional feature, and must be requested from Maelstrom.
  • The shipping address validator mentioned above will now provide a warning in the Direct Order app if the customer's shipping address is not valid.  It is still possible to go through with the checkout in this portion of the Cart.
  • Added a customer note to the Order Admin.  This note will appear on all status emails to the customer, as well as in all receipts viewable by the customer or administrator.
  • Custom Site Shipping label:  the Standard Site Shipping label can now be named whatever the store administrator wishes;  it can also be changed based on any criteria in the order.
  • The "Order Receipts" report will now place each receipt on its own page when printing to a printer.

Order Detail Administrator

  • Changed the way that the Order Detail grid paging works.  This change is transparent to the user, however it greatly increases the speed of all the functions of the grid.  For sites with many orders, the order administrator will be visibly MUCH faster.
  • Added sorting to the Order Detail grid.  Click the column headers to sort by that column.  If the column is clicked once, it will sort ascending, twice, it will sort descending.  The sort is saved for the entire duration of the session.  It will reset upon the user closing the browser or after a long period of inactivity.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug which would cause an error when all ProductType options were hidden for a DropDown.
  • The Edit Product page now allows a max product price and sale price of $999,999,999.
  • The Edit Product page now allows a max stock and product level size of 999,999,999.

General Modifications

  • Added a backup email server setting to the Cart.  If the primary server fails while sending email for any reason, the secondary server will be used to send the email.
  • Customer email address is now displayed on all customer receipts.
  • Product number is now displayed for each product on all customer receipts.
  • Customers can now update their email address on their account info page.
  • Added error reporting for SMTP problems.  Any emails refused by the primary or secondary email servers will be recorded.

Order Detail Administrator

  • Modifed the "Order Summary Report."  The report now shows more information about the order as well as the customer's email address for each order.
  • Created another report called "Order Receipts" on the Order Details grid page.  This report displays all customer receipts for each order retrieved in the grid.
  • "Total Order Count" is now displayed above the Order Details grid and shows the number of orders returned in the search.
  • Added a "Priority/Regular" option to the Order Search.  This option returns all regular orders as well as orders marked with the highlight "Priority."
  • Changed the "None" highlight to "Regular Orders" in the order admin highlight search.
  • Added two new highlights: "Exchange" - blue and "CC Decline" - orange.  They are also now searchable in the order search.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that shows ALL highlights in the summary report when selecting "None."

Product Level Sorting
 

  • Bestselling sorting on the Product List page can now be influenced by changing the value in a Product Level text box on the Product Edit page.  Every time a specific product is sold, the Product Level value is incremented for that item.  Therefore, with no administrator interaction, items are sorted decreasing by how well they have sold.  If you wish to move an item up on the bestselling list, simply increase the Product Level value for that item.

Order Detail Administrator

  • Added a "Print Order Details" function to the order detail list in the administrator.  This opens a new page with all current order details in the list displayed in a printer-friendly manner.  This list can be used to easily pull orders for shipment etc.
  • Added a "View Order Receipt" link to the single order detail administrator.  This link opens a new browser window which contains that order's customer receipt.  This receipt can be printed for shipping to the customer etc.
  • Added a search "highlight" value of "none" to the order details search bar in the administrator.  When this value is selected, the search will return orders with no highlight assigned.

Direct Order Form

  • Added the direct order form checkout options of "Purchase Order" and "No Charge."  Upon selection of "Purchase Order," a text box appears for entry of the purchase order number.  The "No Charge" option simply allows checkout without any form of payment selected.
  • Added another shipping option to the direct order form checkout process.  This shipping option allows the administrator to enter a custom shipping price and description.
  • Added a notes field to the direct order checkout form.  These notes will appear in the order details administration section.

Customer Account Information

  • Added a new option to the customer's "My Account" options that allows them to opt out of emails sent from the store.
  • Added a successful informational message after a successful account settings change.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug in checkout that cleared all totals when a shipping option was double-clicked.
